Maudie Sullivan started working for Youngman Ericsson Scott, LLP as a Receptionist in 2008. Being born and raised in Contra Costa County, Maudie has a strong sense of community with the firm’s clients and takes pride in the relationships with them. Those relationships with the firm’s clients have grown because Maudie is able to recognize their voices when they call, adding a special personal touch.
Shortly after being hired, the firm provided Maudie with the opportunity for training and advancement within its Tax Team. With this benefit, she became a Certified Tax Preparer and has, and will continue to be, mentored by Walt Youngman. After organizing all of the firm’s client’s tax data, Maudie assists in preparing individual, fiduciary, partnership, estate, prior year(s), and amended tax returns.
Maudie truly enjoys the tax field and appreciates how the firm’s tax season is year-round, allowing her to provide assistance during the tax preparation, as well as with extensions as needed and tax controversy. Maudie is extremely computer literate and is a quick learner for all software programs, including the firm’s tax software programs. She is great with numbers and has expert knowledge in Excel and all spreadsheets, including estate accountings. She thrives for the opportunity to learn.
Maudie has been a Notary Public since 2009 and serves as the firm’s traveling notary, allowing the firm to service clients away from the office when requested. Maudie continues to live in Contra Costa County with her husband and daughter and has comfort in knowing that her own family can grow in our beautiful community. Maudie spends her free time reading, playing video games, and enjoying the outdoors with her family and their dog, Willow.
Maudie enjoys spending time with her husband James, stepdaughter Destiny, and their German Shepherd puppy, Willow. They enjoy going on walks, bike rides, and camping near Santa Cruz and Monterey.
Maudie also enjoys baking, candle making, reading, and playing video games.
Maudie was a member of Knightsen 4H, and enjoys giving back to her community and their local farmers.
